Closure of Manama restaurants after midnight.

April 12, 2007

Hi,

This piece of news have been on the front page of every local newpaper on the island and really caught my attention because there is something funny about it. First about this new law is that restaurant owners in the capital Manama were asked, two weeks ago to sign some sort of a formal contract agreeing the closure of their local food restaurants after midnight. This sort of contract was signed in Al-Hora police station  and some owners claim that the police forced them to sign without explaining them the reasons.

Now about the funny part, coz nobody knows exactly who enforced this law as each official such as Manama Governer, PR director in the ministry of interior are denying enforcing such law and till this moment nobody knows who exactly ordered that!!

Police now are wandering around the streets of Manama ordering every restaurant to close if it is seen open after midnight. Oh, wait it is not only restaurants but also local coffee shops (Qahawee).

The funny thing is that the police force are following orders that are till this moment not sure who issued it. We'll certainly miss (Tikat abol) and the rest! Damn. Wallah mas5arah and 6ar6arah!

Bahrainised questions ..

April 11, 2007

Question  1: Crimes and burglaries in Bahrain

Endless crimes and burglaries are taking place on our lovely island? The killer of Saar, The Killer of Muharraq, The thief of Hamad Town and the list goes on as each town and vilage has its unique case. Why is the government is not realising what is going on?

Question 2: Hummer cars in Bahrain!!

Why there are recently a lot of hummer cars flooding the strees of Bahrain all of a sudden? Take a ride across the streets of Bahrain and count how many you find. I guarantee you that you won't get less than 7! There are becoming like corolla or sunny nowadays LOL.

Question 3: Bahraini blogs!!

Why some Bahraini blogs use very complicated/difficult/sophisticated & old-fashioned english? Is it because my english is very bad  or stupid that I don't understand? Or is it because there are "vocabulary-freak" bloggers in which some were educated/studying in UK USA/Canada and any other anglicised countries whom use the most sophisticated english words for simplest meanings just to show off??

Wallah guys and ladies sometimes I go and read and I ask myself "Is this english or what?".

Some Bahraini bloggers just decided to invent their own, complicated "Bahraini English". Go and browse in some Bahraini blogs (without mentioning specific blogs), where you'll find interesting topics, but you need something like a cambridge advanced-learner dictionary to know what these bloggers are saying!! My message to those (Just an advice not an obligation),, its good to blog in english BUT Keep It eaSy and Simple (KISS). Maybe some would read this and get angry and ask me to mind my own damn business LOL! But it is only for the sake of improving the Bahraini Blogosphere. If you feel pissed off about what I wrote then you are one of them! Chill out, revise yourself and make your english easier!!".

Stay safe everyone!

P.S. Any luck so far to provide poor little Tito with a free F1 ticket?? I wanna really see it before going back to bloody Bath!!

News from Bahrain

April 4, 2007

Upcoming Thanaweya graduates get happy! or may be it is just a dream?!

For more details click here.

MP Mohammed Khalid is in charge of this proposal. In my opinion, خريجين الثانوية يمشون بوزهم because four years ago he came to the UK and when he saw our saddening financial situation (Students sponsored by Ministry of Education) he promised in helping to raise our monthly salaries and I graduated a year ago and still nothing have changed and students are still suffering from the situation and the increasing prices in the UK! He speaks and does nothing as usual. Don't be overwhelmed!

Boys and men ,,, prepare to grow up your hair! Read below and know why:

Thank god I only have a hair cut twice or thrice a year!

The last bit of news is the urgent proposal from some MP's to grant BD300 for unemployed graduates. Don't get too excited you lazy people coz there are exceptions! Click here for details

On the way:

  • I am thinking of moving the blog to http://tito84.blogspot.com for better control on a lot of features that I can't have here? what do you think about it? I have this perception that visitors will be less when I move,, correct me if I am wrong.
  • Anyone got an F1 ticket for tito84? It is my first time to come to Bahrain in this time of year and it is my chance to go to the event and I don't wanna miss it but without paying ,, I want to have a ticket plzzzzz!

Best wishes!

Grants for Phd and Masters

April 3, 2007

Here is the Juicy offer as I've seen it in Alwasat Newspaper dated Monday 2nd April 2007.

I hope I can get one of these grants but I bet it'll be extremely competitive. The question remains, is that what the company means by "initial acceptance". Because as you know some institutions may not issue clear acceptance until the end of the summer (August/Sept.). Anyways I will call and ask for more details.

The other question I thought of is the type of contract the company will sign with perspective student and would it be a similar in term to the ministry of education contract. I'll call and see!

بحرينيات – الحلقه ١

March 31, 2007

السلام عليكم

تحيه طيبه للجميع

I wish that everyone is enjoying the weekend like I am doing. I thought of writing this post before heading down for the BBQ that is made on my honour.

I will divide this topic into 2 episodes for my convenience. I wanted to write this post again in arabic but because my keyboard does not have arabic and the sequence of arabic letters in mac is different from the usual windows so again pardon me for that.

Well, to be quick, in this 1st episode I want to point out the things I have noticed so far in Bahrain and the change in Behaviour in Bahrain. I will put them in bullet points so that it would be more easier for you to read.

  1. People's driving manners are changing for the worse. Sooner or later we will be like saudi or Qatari people in driving. Many people nowadays drive carelessly and disobeying the traffic signs and rules like they were made to be broken. These people think that they are the kings and queens of roads and disturbing other people on the road who are trying to drive safely and peacfully. Roads and streets simply became ground of chaos and danger. My licence will expire in July 2007 and I promise that no renewals will be made to it. Tito won't drive anymore here.

  2. Some streets, and public places became grounds for wooing, courtshipping, lovemaking or whatever the word is. There are many places like that, which includes Juffair, Jid Ali, Bo-Kwaarah, Yam Yam tree in Sanad and many many others that you will probably know better than me. You will see there all sort of ill personalities and young blood trying to hunt down the other sex with their looks, behaviour and cloths. You will see boys with weird hair cuts and girls smoking in public and many other acts that will make you ask yourself "what the F*** ??". These people only copy the fashion and styles that they see in movies and video clips without knowing that in the west , the majority of people and youngesters like them do not behave and look like they do. My advice to them "Grow up and be true men and ladies!!).

  3. The huge number of expatriates (Indians, Syrians are the biggest so far) that are invading our country. This huge number shows the random act of naturalisation. For example go to the airport, you will feel like you landed in Mumbai or Lahore airport and not in Bahrain. If one Indian is arriving from his homecountry, you will see here in Bahrain's airport that 20 expats have come along to meet him!!! When I first arrived here a week ago and was in the arrival hall, wallah I lost track of my parents among these Indians and even when I found my mom she asked me have you seen your father, I said " How would I know? you came along with him and besides we won't be able to see him coz this large number of indians invading the airport". Within 30 or 35 years I expect Bahrain to become similar to Dubai where it will be hard to see a pure bahraini guy walking in a public place. What a strange world =( .

You may feel that my opinion may be subjective or pessimestic and that might be true to a certain level due to that fact that I only have been in Bahrain for couple of months in the last 5 years.

Anyways, people are waiting down stairs in hunger and anger. I have to go and wait for me in the second episode.

Stay safe everyone and enjoy the weekend.

كتاب في الصحافه ويا ليتهم لم يكونوا

March 26, 2007

Hi everyone,

I wanted to write this post in arabic but coz the keyboard does not have arabic, then I would take ages to complete and publish this post. Anyways, the topic is about 2 particular column-writers in 2 seperate news papers that I have just noticed during the couple of days here.

My issue is about the way they write not about them in person. The first guy is Jassim Al-Ataawi . When I read plenty of his articles via the online archive of Al-ayam newspaper , honestly I said " What the hell?!" . Sorry if this offends anyone but what he writes is total rubbish and bull**it. In my opinion, the type and structure he uses won't enable him to succeed even in starting up a blog. The guy is trying to send a message about some certain issues and political problems in Bahrain but in a crappy way. What he writes implies what little knowledge he owns. There are more people capable of doing better so I hope to see him replaced one day by a more "professional" writer.

The other dude is Jaffar Abbas, A sudanese dude living in Qatar i guess and writing in Akhbar Al-Khaleej some other gulf newspapers. This guy's problem is talking nonsense about himself over and over in the news paper, like he's some sort of celebrity or something and thinking that the newspaper is somehow his personal diary or blog. If you go to his articles you will see that he always relates every topic and incident to himself. So f***ing lame. EGO-CENTRIC is the word to describe his articles.

The problem also is with the newspapes that allow these bull****ers to write and it is my damn sick personality to talk and spend time and effort on publishing a post to talk about these maniac people. For your personal safety and mentality ,once you read these names or see their faces in the newspaper just pass by without thinking to read even a word. I warned you and you bear the consequences if you don't respond to my warning.

Regards,

Tito
